During the presentation of the Government Report of the interim mayor Francisco Jose Martinez GilVarious representatives of the tourism and business sector of Puerto Vallarta agreed in recognizing its approach of openness and dialogue, which has generated important achievements for the municipality.
Francisco Gabriel Vizcaíno Rendón, president of Coparmex, highlighted the fluid communication with the municipal government under Martínez's direction. “Since February, Pepe Martínez has fostered a constant dialogue with business chambers and the Coparmex employers' union, which has allowed us to advance on issues such as regulatory improvement,” said Vizcaíno Rendón. He added that this collaboration has had a positive impact on the economic development of the region, reflected in the successful initiatives to promote tourism and twinning with other cities.
Luis Antonio Villaseñor Nolasco, general director of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust (It is trusted), thanked the mayor for recognizing the work of Fidetur and highlighted the fruits of the joint promotion of the destination. “Achievements such as the twinning with McAllen, Texas, and the rapprochement with New York are clear examples of what can be achieved when working as a team”, Villaseñor Nolasco said.
For his part, Marco Roberto Juárez González, president of the Citizen Council for Public Security of the Metropolitan Area of Puerto Vallarta and Bahía de Banderas, stressed the importance of coordination in matters of public security. He recognized Martínez's commitment to fostering collaboration between the private sector and civil society to address security issues, an effort that, according to Juárez González, sets a valuable precedent for future administrations.
